The Small Business Center of Surry Community College will offer a seminar titled �Track the Numbers � Break Even and Profit Loss Statement� to assist business owners with their financial recordkeeping and reports. The seminar will meet on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm in room 224 at the Yadkin Center, located at 4649 Highway 601 in Yadkinville. Semone Brisson will be the presenter for this free offering.

This foundational seminar focuses on the �what, why, and how� of the profit and loss statement. Attendees will learn what numbers you should pay attention to, why, and how to determine a break-even point for your business. Understand �the cost of goods sold section� on the profit and loss statement and the difference between accrual and cash basis method of accounting. You will review practical examples of how to apply break-even analysis to your business in this great primer for the non-accountant.
