I wish that would work for all the lost pets

I found this advice on the net.
Take a piece of clothing that you have worn all day or something with your scent on it, put it in the last place your pet was seen, leave it and a bowl of water. Check every so often. The lost animal will pick up your scent and be waiting there for you.
