There will be a screening of "The Red Cape" at the Starmount Crossing Cinema in Jonesville on Saturday, February 18th at 7:00 PM.

Immediately after the screening, there will be reception at The Liberty, 222 Main Street, Elkin, where Nelson will speak and take questions from the crowd.

Waddell seeks to disenfranchise the prosperous black community and overthrow the city's biracial leadership. The insurrection and massacre, known as THE 1898 WILMINGTON RACE RIOT, became the only proven violent overthrow of a government in United States history.
