*Upper Yadkin Valley Habitat for Humanity is a hands-on, ecumenical Christian ministry that allows low-income families to realize the dream of owning a home. Habitat for Humanity builds simple, decent, affordable houses with the help of volunteers and those families who meet income and credit requirements to be selected as Partner Families. Habitat families must complete 300 "sweat equity" hours by working on their own homes, other families' homes, or by contributing volunteer hours at Habitat before they can purchase their homes. Their mortgage payments enable Habitat to continue the cycle, building more homes for partner families.We build in Yadkin County and the Tri-County area of Wilkes and Surry.*
