Non-Profit organizations must continually look for new funding sources and ways to support their services and mission. Fundraising is a needed skill for many non-profits as support from traditional funding shrinks and organizations search for more diversified revenue streams. This workshop reviews the primary elements of fundraising, compares the types of fundraising to an organization’s needs, and provides best practices. Participants evaluate their organization’s needs and determine where fundraising events can supplement their operations, what potential new diversified streams they could utilize and what roles staff, volunteer and board can/should play in development work.
