Grab your partner for the Elkin Valley Fiddlers' Valentine's Day Contra Dance at The Liberty, 222 E. Main St., Elkin. Featuring the band the Bridge Makers with caller Roberta Kogut, the dance will have a beginners' lesson at 6:30. A precursor to square dancing, contra dancing is easy and fun. If you can walk, you can contra dance! Admission only $5 per person. All proceeds to benefit the Elkin Valley Fiddlers By the River fidders' convention on Sat., May 10 with the Kruger Brothers at Elkin Municipal Park.
