Chatham Nursing & Rehabilitation will host the Duncan Dash, a family and pet-friendly fun fun/walk to raise awareness for the Alzheimer�s dementia population at Elkin Municipal Park, Elkin. Registration starts at 9 a.m. with a balloon send-off ceremony at 9:45 a.m. at the starting line. The walk begins at 10 a.m. There will be several items raffled off, a hot dog cookout for donations, a bouncy house, face painting and more. Registration is free, T-shirts are $10. The Alzheimer�s Association will receive at least 75 percent of the proceeds collected.
