Piece of advice to all selling timber. Hire a forest land consultant. In the long run you will pocket more money. I hired one, against the advice of quite a few people. I received almost $100,000 more for my timber than I had been offered

Never trust timber cutters,unless you can watch every load hauled off & get a receipt from who received it. Don't rely on cutters receipts, they usually lose 4-5 loads....
