The age of consent in NC is 16. However, there is no age of consent for a teacher and a student. It is a crime for a teacher to have a relationship with a student no matter what age the student is.

My guess it wasn't hacked but that could have been a good defense. Also, we don't know what the crime was. It is possible that most of us wouldn't even consider it a crime. What's a crime for a teacher is not a crime for some one else.

One scary thing is that anyone can create a social media account with her name and photos. For all we know, the student (or any other student) could have made the account and faked the whole thing.
If she really did do it, though, then yeah, that's pretty dumb.
