The problem was a minor miscommunication with the company we lease it from. Their rates were changing and I'd failed to agree to the new rate, so they moved me to a smaller account. I just had to email them and confirm the higher rate, then it was fixed immediately.

I know that there was some speculation that we were going to start charging for the chat room, but let me assure you that we have absolutely no interest in that! I would much prefer to be supported by local businesses than trying to charge any type of access fee.

Worse, that would eliminate the whole point of anonymity on GoNC! I have NO interest in knowing who any of you are in real life, so I don't foresee any type of access fee in our future. Ever. There would have to be some sort of catastrophic change for that to happen.

It's become nearly impossible to get in the chatroom. it says the chatroom is full but if and when you do get in there is always just 5 people.
