Let me guess. Satan. Am I right? Is it a hefty brand trash bag? If its brown paper. Remember the goodwill burger bags. No matter how much they wrapped and covered them up the grease still came through the bag. No matter how much you hide you eventually ooze out. West Lie your oozing and everyone can see your stains/scars your leaving on our kids. Soul bag. Lost soul. You sold your souls.

I just love all those God fearing Christian Godly men and women at West. They are filling my soul bag up nicely. Keep up the faith. Hope you guess my name.

I dont see any change happening at all!! I know we have some talented players in the middle school, 7th grade in particular. I would suggest that those parents (boys and girls) to take their kids elsewhere!! Other Wilkes schools have good coaches (few of them) and surrounding counties do as well. They will not get any better at West! Look at the this years teams. No improvement at all.

So considering one family runs the entire basketball program, I don't see anything changing anytime soon. I don't see the AD forcing a change and I don't see the County AD forcing a change. In my opinion, West just needs to sit back and ride it out because things will be the same for several years to come. I'm interested to hear what the WEST community thinks needs to happen. Who needs to go and who needs to come in. Obviously there are a lot of upset people, please share your thoughts on this matter!!!!

With West Lie its not just in the sports. Its who gets the crown, the titles, the scholarships, etc. The liars lair should be investigated starting with former Julius caesar Wayne Shepherd. These coaches teachers and tyrants should lose their jobs and retirement. The spoiled rotten parents should be made to pay back the rewards they cheated the kids that honestly deserved their shot. The school bulldozed to the ground and property turned into a dump site for manure. These Pharisee Baptist and Methodist Christians have turned this institution into a pile of ****. All the kids are our future not just yours.

I agree it is at all schools to a certain extent. That goes for every school in the state and every state in the country. But West Wilkes is beyond belief. It goes beyond what someone would even call extreme. Somethings that are going on I would have never in a million years believed it if I had not seen it first hand. That is the big difference its not your normal school politics. Everyone deals with that, this is NOT that.

It is the result of giving everyone a trophy, win or lose, good or bad player. The parents see the little plastic trophy and think little Johnny or Suzie is pro material. As they age, reality starts to set in, it is tough to swallow.

It is just not at West High, it is happening at all of the High Schools. If you don't believe that than you are blind to your own programs, better take a closer look!

I don't really know what is going on at West Wilkes High School. But when I went to school there some 50 yrs ago, there were no parents, principals, or anyone else told the coaches how to play their teams. The coaches I knew when I was going would tell anyone to get lost if they tried to run their coaching business. I guess the politics in schools is about as crooked as it is in our governments anymore. If this is the case then there is our communities sports problems.

She should be burned at the stake for what she did to the tall post player she tried to ruin a couple of years ago. Well when it all goes down. I hope that she takes the rest of the dirty b??tares with her. Tell how she received the thirty pieces of silver from the powers that be to destroy this kid. For what?

Don't think the boys coach will be back. He received too much pressure form the parents that run the school to play their kid and balked on doing it at times. He tried to make the parents happy but those kids are not the talent so he balked many times. He will be tossed out. Its these few sets of parents that decide the sports decisions its not the coaches. All coaches are controlled by these few parents. There is no coach in any sport at west that is a coach except wrestling. The parents cant control the other kid from kicking their sons A55 in wrestling so they don't mess with that sport.

I keep hearing that either Scottie and Allie will not be back at West next year? Anybody else heard this?

They are not going to remove the politics its there for a reason. Certain parents only want their kids to look good and if they remove the rest then there is not a risk of their kid being overlooked. West does not care about winning anymore they have changed their goals. Its all about giving play time to certain parents kids for the monetary backing is what I am hearing.

I hate to hear that the JV Coaches were forced out. Both were really great guys and seems the players really enjoyed playing for them from what I saw. Seems like West needs to remove the politics surrounding it's programs, but I do agree with the comment that was made that the JV Coaches knew more than the Varsity coaches. You can sit and watch the Varsity Girls coach and see that she needs help and obviously the boys coach does as well considering the talent he has had the last few years and done nothing with. How do they finish 7th in the Conf with that talent??????

Well I for one am glad its over. West you can just rot. Im glad I do not have to have anymore dealings with your sporting programs. Good riddens.

West according to most may not be no good but sure did take down the crappy North Vikings, lol

It seems like all of you have forgotten about the state champions and records of the Wrestling Teams here at West. The dam newspapers don't cover them because they are jealous..

That is probably because there is not a whole lot of "daddy ball" involved in wrestling. You are the better wrestler or you aren't, and you settle it on the mat. With team sports, who plays where can often be subjective, and if that interpretation is left up to daddy or his buddies....well, little Billy Bob, Jr. whose daddy was part of the teams back in the 80s, he may get to play over Bob Billy, whose daddy and mom just moved here three years ago.

It isn't fair, but it is how it seems to work up that way.
