This team is good enough with the right people in the right spots to be playing in Ronda the Friday after thanksgiving

If changes are not made we will be looking at a 7-8 win season against mediocre teams.

Let's not look back and say what if, it's to late then and it's sure not fair to the players, students and community that supports the school.

If we use the talent we have this team will be scary good.

I never said replace him, Explore my options. The Anderson kid (from what ive been told came from WC as a QB, please correct me if im wrong) Ward is a decent QB, who has had a decent start to the season. However throwing 3 int in one game would worry me about his decision making (Granted they are kids). Ive seen him throw and he doesnt have much arm strength. As for the option based offense, he has that down to a T. Im not bashing the kid by any means but as always if their is better talent at a position, use it. Im not sure where your getting I ever mentioned anything bad about Andersons Defensive skill. Yes, he is absoutely killing it on Defense with numerous Interceptions already.

Shorty can you enlighten me on why a QB should be switched after tossing 3 interceptions? Especially after playing well from what I've heard the first 3 games. Tell me how many QBs, lets even say great QBs have thrown 3 interceptions in a game? It happens. As far as Anderson goes he seems to be playing an intergral and important role on the defense.

Maybe coach is saving him for conference.

I have been to all the games with the exception of Patton. Just calling it like I see it. They struggled with Surry Central and West Iredell in the first half who are very below average teams. Patton is horrible. They have been blown out all year. What am I saying? Well, the Eagles are undefeated, which is a good start. But the teams they have played have no pulse and none of their wins convinces me they are a conference championship contender. If they played the same schedule as last season, they would be 2-2 right now. I think most would agree with that. I am a supporter but will not hold back my thoughts. I hope they continue to win and learn to put teams away earlier in the game because it will hurt them against good teams down the road. The talent is definitely there. Bynum is a good back. Good teams with the talent to mitigate him will take that way. The Eagles must find balance in their offensive attack and find others to make plays consistently.

Wilkes Central is 4-0 and you say they are no good? They struggled with the last 3 games? Did you go to all the games? Really?

EW turned the ball over like 6 times Friday night! They should have lost that game but still found a way to win. That defense won them the game friday night against NS. I think i would be rethinking my QB position. You cant throw 3 ints in one game. Still unsure why the anderson kid that trasnferred from WC isnt being used more. Few thing i sit and scratch my head about. But we will see, its still early !!!

I agree with that and as bad as I hate to admit it , I would place EW right there with them.
Should have beaten NS by at least 30.
EW has more weapons than they are using on offense.
They are only holding themselves back.

Wilkes Central almost lost to Patton. Patton is 0-4 and lost to pretty bad competition. I'm beginning to think WC's 4-0 record is a smokescreen. Don't think they're very good at all to be honest. They struggled with all 4 teams thus far. All 4 teams have a combined 2 wins. Those 2 wins came against teams who are 2-6. I forsee WC losing at least 3 games in conference to East, Starmount, and Ashe. If you want to be considered a good team, you should be blowing these teams out. Don't let that record fool you. They will be exposed in a couple weeks.

Boles is out? Still trying to figure out why he left Central in the first place. Him and Bynum this year would have been ridiculous.

Ashe doesn't have the #'s this year as they have had the last two years. They had 50 last year but are at barely 30 this year on varsity. Their JV's had less. It will be a rougher year for them due to that but I think they have enough talent left over to contend but not dominate like they have the last two years. Injuries will be what makes or breaks them come conference time.

It's pretty obvious wilkesfootballguru doesn't know how many teams are the MVAC he left out Elkin.
1: Wilkes Central / Starmount - Starmount is Starmount they usually compete for the conference title year and year and they return this season having won the 1-AA Western Division
Title. Mean while the Eagles in Moravian Falls may have lost a lot of talent but they have an big OL, DL to make up for that. I see Bynum, and Parsons to be a key to the Eagles success this season.
2: Ashe County - No secret they have numbers on their side. Their depth of roster will be a key for Ashe this season.
3: East Wilkes- A majority of there roster returns back this year. The fact that they're Senior heavy will play roll to their success this year as well as there offensive line.
4: West Wilkes- Everybody on here is hyped up on the Hawks, but it's only cause they think there junior class superior to all the other teams in the MVAC. A good junior yes but they're year to win conference isn't this year.
5: Alleghany- The Trojans lost several seniors to graduation. But they are returning after making it to the 1A western Finals last year. They have a lot of Sophmores playing up that is really talented.
6: Elkin- they are in a rebuilding phase this year but this Elkin team will be tree than most people think.
7: North Wilkes- No real key to success this year. Running back Tyler Bowls moved to South Carolina from what I herd. There is no real speed backs at North Wilkes either this year.
