So are you trying to say that a team that started literally all 7th graders last year, are going to have the same record as they did last year? Are you saying that kids don't improve at all?

Guru, you're right. East always thinks they are gonna be better than they actually are!! But you may be optimistic on that .500 finish. Let's look at the schedule: West=Loss, Central=Loss, North=Win, Elkin=Win, Ashe=Loss, Alleghany=Loss. I've got them at 2-4 at best with no play-off hopes!
Good Luck this year guys....this is definitely "your" year!!

CRAZY YOU will see GURU.. WC will be without that Spread No huddle QB. And both their RBs not to mention that Huge Line .. All Gone!! East Returns Everybody.. Are you Judgeing East from How they normally Finish?  Or do you have a clue about the talent they have?? Please get back on here and eat your Crow after the season... ( .500 LOL!! Want to bet???))

Backyard ball? Running the "I" formation and the spread offense is not exactly backyard ball. Not to mention a "no huddle" as well. Number 2 is gone but he did not even lead them in TD's. Also, Central proved they could throw it as well. Central is going to be just fine this year. The Head Coach will have them ready.

East always has and always will be one of those schools who is "going" to be having a good year "This Year" But unfortunately that year never comes. If you think that this year is "your year"..what you are is crazy. Goos luck and enjoy going .500.

Central will be OK, but I think you lost ALL of your Playmaking ability or (backyard ball) however you want to say it. I just don't know where your offense is gonna come from just in case you forgot....#2 is not coming back!!

Funny your screen name is "Wilkesfootballguru" and you don't even live in Wilkes......
Took me a while but i'm on to you. 
We are the defending Champions, so until you beat us, we get the nod as the favroite.
Central Wilkes will win it all AGAIN and will wear Ashe out along the way. Get used to it....

Eddie will be back I�m sure..He would be crazy not to come back this year .This is the same group that ran over everyone as 6th graders.Throwing the ball for gaudy #s that would put most high schools to shame..Mr. Settle could put on a show this year if he chooses

I know hes a very busy person, I was only wondering. Has anyone heard about the rest of the staff like Tyler? I really hope Eddie returns I enjoyed watching him coach. Hes a great leader. I hope he comes back, and I hope him and Tyler could influence Gary to become a Cardinal. How great would that be to see Eddie and Gary on the sidelines together. That would be a great staff. Two legends coaching together, and one legend in the making with Tyler

Last I heard from Eddie was he didn't know for sure what he was going to do, of course that was when this past season ended. If you really want to know why not call him and get the direct answer instead of listening to rumors on here.

I am curious about the coaching staff next year for east wilkes middle school. I hear that Coach Settle is coming back, but others say that he isn't coming back? Does anyone know anything about this. Also will they keep the same coaching staff as last year? I know that they got Coach Gary Robbins son from Elkin over there helping the younger kids, and I hope they keep him. Tyler Robbins was an excellent football players, who got many offers from colleges to play. So I know if hes half the coach that he was a player East should have a keeper. I also know Gary and hes been a great coach for years, so you know he taught his son a thing or too. I was just wondering who will be coaching the middle school next year for football?
