These posts are very entertaining! I think it could be proven that certain kids do play for who they are! That has been since beginning of time! Here's a question for you as you.... Say your son on the bball team hogs the ball and misses like 30 out of 33 shots & doesn't get sat down, as parents should you 1) Clap and cheer or 2) Hide your face while screaming-Pass the ball!! I've saw this at west and wonder why the parents of the child allow it? Just wondering...... it is kind of embarrassing.....

Who pays for the private coach that some players have even at the middle school level?

Why don't you pull your skirt up and confront them in front of the crowd??? make it count because you will get one chance more than likely. If it's really that bad, what do you have to lose. there are probably others that will back you, unfortunately this world is full of spineless people... show your kids what is right and stand up for them. It will mean more to you and your kid in the long run, far more than complaining on GW and just smiling to the coaches face tonight at practice.

At North the problem is with administration. Let's not get confused about North's problems. The central office doesn't care about what happens at North apparently. Its all about agendas and who owes who a favor. The kids are not the priority. It's the dirtiest bunch of individuals I've ever come in contact with. The school system should be upstanding, transparent and honest. Maybe we will finally get a superintendent who will clean house and stop some of the waste that's going on. At the very least stop the agendas. Let's get some people in that care more about the kids than their own selfish agenda.

I told you all this years ago. The coaches and I mean all of them are controlled by a couple of families. I know this because I know the families and have seen it all first hand. You do get some politics at every school, even good ole North which I love but those at West now, and some were my friends at one time, are flat evil. How West allowed them to move in is beyond me. We (North) like all schools allow minor things but those like this, well we run them off. Our kids are more important then some of these adults.

You people on here poking fun your more than likely part of this cult that takes part in this a** kissing contest that is going on. You call yourselves good God fearing people. Your sitting in church right now with your church face on knowing you sold your soul to get your little darling their crown for being the greatest ever. Tell them to look down and see who mommyxand daddy had to do and scr*w to put them on the pitiful pedestal their standing on. Paying these traveling coaches and the coaches only playing the kids who parents that pay them for private workouts. Sad. The coach at the highschool is getting her parents primed to dip in their pockets when their baby gets into her clutches.That way its not such a shock to daddy's wallet.

You guys are AWSOME ......this is funny......after you pay,who does a person tip,and what% does one pay......is it 15-20% like eating out......or is it already calculated into your check if there is more than 5 people in your party......it sounds kinda like those game apps like Candy Crush, sure it's free,but if you want to be really good you gotta buy those in game boosts and level ups if you want to score with the big boys......I could go on and on......

You can say all you want about the Skabo era, but his son is playing some really good ball right now. Daddy ball always exists a little, but on that West boys team, I don't know of anybody playing that is because of their dad. But i do think some people aren't getting the time they deserve. Strictly coaching. Not "Most Valuable Parents"

Sorry for trying to inject a little sanity and objectivity into this discussion. You guys have at it. As long as you believe that your little Johnny/Julie is not playing because of some conspiracy rather than they are not good enough, it is unlikely that you will encourage them to do the extra work that it takes to get better. Enjoy your theories. Meanwhile, I will continue to encourage my kids and others to work harder during the off season so that they will get that time that they are looking for.

West is like all schools daddy ball is everywhere some more then others but it's everywhere. What's happening these days is kids are getting pulled up on varsity and not getting to play and parents are getting mad. If a kid is good enough to move up then they should play if not keep them on jv and let them get better so they can play at the varsity level.

West is nothing but politics. Daddy ball, aunt ball. Should go ahead and change the name to Bell ball.

You just said that you had a kid playing. If you is a metaphor then you were a silver platter player that got all the breaks. These mommy and daddy's know who and you what I'm talking about. Its ones like you that see nothing wrong cutting another child's throat no matter their abiliities to make your child look better on paper. Its you that are teaching them how and they don't know any different. There are many kids who get stepped on and stepped over not because of their abilities. Its because of the yous up there. These people call theirselves Christians and take their kids to church every Sunday. But for 30 pieces of silver they would crucify a godsend of a ballplayer just because he of she don't fit. Its a shame. I bet you are one of those people who give and brag about it. There's a word for that in the Bible to Mr Christian. Even though you take your kid to church and let them learn about someone good. You teach them evil at home. What is happening at west high is pitiful. It wont stop. I know it wont and you do too but its d*** shame that you. There's that you again. That you would do this to an innocent child who just loved the game and was d*** good at it.

Sorry to tell you but in small town America like the areas where we live, there are going to be times where coaches have their friends kids on their team. This is neither a crime nor a conspiracy. Contrary to popular belief, coaches will play the kids that they think gives them the best chance to win. If they don't win, there will be people on here talking about that also. Still looking for an explanation of how they buy their kids playing time. You made reference to them opening their wallet. If you are condemning people just because they have a relationship with the coach that is really sad. If you feel that they are given preferential treatment for another reason, I am open to an explanation on that also. If I do things for the athletic department and don't have kids, does that mean that I can allocate my good deeds to someone elses kids. Anxiously awaiting any logical ways that this happens, and sorry just because you happen to be friends with the coach is not enough for me. Come on man give us some details of how all this happens so we can take advantage of it also.
