Who wants to make Jason cry?

Congratulations sir... I salute you and your apparent titanium digestive tract. I tried Thai food one time and ordered mine at the "medium" heat of the three intensity levels on the menu. I found the heat more than tolerable as far as my mouth and sinuses were concerned. I actually found tobasco sauce to be hotter and I eat it all the time and love it..... But 30 minutes later the storm hit my stomach and I was sweating and writhing in pain for the next hour eating Rolaids like Skittles. My mouth can handle Thai food but my stomach can't

We should have sent a delegation to show how proud we are of Jason for entering this event, and to cheer loudly when he won !!

So here's how it started:

There were 4 rounds, each increasing in heat intensity. We had about 2 minutes to eat roughly 4 ounces of spicy noodles, then on to the next round. If you drink, you lose.

Here are the four competitors:

I'm not going to swear to this, but I think that the guy on the far right (Levi) bailed after the 2nd round, and the girl to my right (Tiffany) made it about halfway through the 3rd round.

The guy to my left, Drew, seemed cool and calm, so I thought he had it in the bag. I was shocked when he quit! I didn't think the 4th round was that bad, honestly, and I was ready to go to a lightning round with Drew.

Aficionados, I'm not entirely sure what peppers were used for each round, but I don't think they went to Ghost Peppers or anything like that; I think they were just varying intensities of Thai peppers that they grew themselves. I'll probably go there for dinner on Tuesday, so I'll ask if I can remember.

Sgt, I actually have been training for about a month!! At Prime Thai I used to order my food at "14 stars" (they usually have a scale of 1-5, so 14 is pretty hot), but each week I've gone up a star until last week I was at 20 stars (the highest they go). Texas Pete is like Kool-aid to me now!! LOL

That looks evil gw..... Just curious, Are u doing anything to prepare your GI system? I have a image in my head of your training montage which consists of you taking shots of Texas Pete while "eye of the tiger" plays in the background

OMG! Good luck! If I were near I would challenge you! Remember! The smaller the pepper the hotter.

Farmer, I tried the Carolina Reaper in a mix of other peppers with some beef jerky, but I don't think that's really the same. I've eaten Ghost Pepper wings from Tiptons, and I think that's the hottest I've ever had. I don't know what they're planning with the noodles... something sadistic is my guess

Hmmmm j , I don't know how that would be like with beef jerky but it sounds interesting though. I don't know but they say the Carolina reaper is the hottest pepper in the world, the videos on YouTube I have seen where people take the paqui chip challenge is hilarious though.

There's nothing Brahe about eating no spicy food. That's a stupid statement.
