Look at NC sex offenders site every day. Memorize the faces on it. Your kind of business will be over run by them if you are not observant. Watch for adults with cameras . That is almost a dead give away for offender if they are not with children.

You need something for the parents to do also. Coffee-shop/restaurant, maybe a few pool tables. If there is any kind of state certification, you will need to get it. Parents would be stupid to just drop off their kids with just anyone running the place. However, many parents will. If you are a legit business, you don't need that king of problems.

I priced the equipment and it was somewhere between a quarter and a half million to set up. That was about 17 years ago.

Anybody remember the rolling barrel thing they used to have at Smooth Park? Every kid in the county had smooshed fingers, and no one thought to sue.

Man, times have changed! LOL

There is a company in Wilkes that does it, I think it's just called Bounce Wilkes. I don't know if there's anyone in Elkin or Yadkin, but if you can afford the insurance then I'm sure it would be profitable.

Slip n slides cause broken bones. Sand boxes can breed disease. Tricycles have sharp rusty edges

Okay, back to sand boxes and tricycles. Maybe a slip-n-slide.

Liability waivers are useless. They are only good to keep 90% of idiots from suing when they do something stupid on your property. But they don’t remove you from responsibility.

Your biggest problem is going to be older guys who show up ridding bicycles and holding cameras.

You are right goddess. That is why you need insurance.

A liability waiver isn't always a sure thing...it all depends on the injury and what a judge decides!
Oh HOL, girl you have no idea! Hehehehehe!!!!

You are not in the business. How do you know so much? It is called both.

Hey I think it's a good idea we don't have anything like that around here there are places you can rent or someone will come out and have them blow up them but not a in door place that would be good I know my kids would love it and I was reading some of the response and if parents kept there kids clean and make them mind and take care of something that isn't there's other people would be better off it wouldn't make it harder on the person trying to have something fun for kids or someone and it's like you have to watch people they will try to sue you for anything crazy get a job is what I say but I hope you do it God bless you

You get a disclaimer written up and have the parents sign it. Make it their responsibility. You might need some kind of insurance.

There's some guy that does this down around Elkin or Eastern Wilkes already. My niece gets him to come and set up when her kids have birthday parties. I have no idea what he charges. He has one of those big slides and then a house that the kids can get in and bounce around. Last time I went to one of the parties I thought about the liability he'd have if one of those kids got hurt.

Historically play rooms have been profitable. I planed on doing this at one time myself.
