United States District Judge Kenneth D. Bell on Thursday, April 6, sentenced Mac Wayne Billings, 49, of Raleigh (formerly of Wilkes County), to 41 months in prison for defrauding investors in his company Alpha Finance Company (ALPHA) of at least $1.3 million, announced Dena J. King, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina.
