I don't have a party, Sparkles, I'm registered as Unaffiliated and consider myself to be a traditional Conservative. I was a Republican until around 2005... when I saw how the GOP supported Bush Jr's obviously NOT Conservative values, I gave up on the party and decided to start thinking for myself.
While I do tend to lean more towards the Democratic side of things, it's in large part because I don't believe that the GOP represents Conservative values anymore... and haven't in a long time. I've never voted straight ticket, though, and if I don't know anything about a candidate then I leave it blank instead of choosing someone by party.
I also tend to think that AOC is insane. I like Biden but I don't think he has the charisma to beat Trump, so I don't really support anyone in this election.

And your party doesn't promote self over ideology??
Would an AOC have had a voice 10 years ago?

What's sad is that he's promoting a single party over ideology. It would be an exceptionally naive person to think that the GOP of today is anything like the GOP of even 10 years ago, much less 20 years ago.

Richard Merlo is an 84 year old retired radiologist that has made a second career on promoting the GOP:

I think Mr. Merlo lives among a sea of Liberals.

Btw I always enjoy letter to the editors. Usually it's people with crazy extreme views that write them and I feel Merlo does it often.

Answer to Richard Merlo:
Because you see what you want to see. You're upset because someone's voice is too high pitched? They're women, get over it.
Small people talk about other people. If you can't discuss their ideas and policies, but only dislike them because of the pitch of their voice or race, then you, sir, are not someone whose opinion should have any relevance.

To the Editor:
Why has the Democrat Party entrusted its public image to a handful of unsympathetic, perpetually offended women? Why must the party's spokeswomen seem so shrill? Why are their most vocal women also their least deliberative and most likely to sound slightly demented? Why does AOC continue to sound like a barmaid? Why does the prayerful Ms Pelosi sound so full of hate? Why does Ms Clinton, poor woman, seem obsessed with her 2016 failure? Why does Ilhan Omar dislike America so intensely? Voting Republican will make all these questions unnecessary.
