Self-proclaimed 'America's Funniest Man' James Gregory will perform his clean humor at The Charles Mack Citizen Center on Friday, December 1 at 7:00 p.m. EST. For more than two decades, Gregory has entertained audiences in-person, on tour, and on hundreds of radio stations and television appearances. The Charles Mack Citizen Center focuses on wholesome, family-friendly music and events and is located conveniently in Downtown Mooresville.
Gregory was born in Lithonia, Ga. and worked as a salesperson until he was 36 years old when he first began introducing performers at The Punch Line comedy club in Atlanta. His first feature act at the Punch Line was February 17, 1982. He does not "tip-toe" through life as if he is walking on broken glass or egg shells and his style is evident on stage. Much of his humor is centered on brilliant observations of crazy relatives and people obsessed with the slightest change in weather conditions. His show turns the clock back to a time when life was simpler; to a better time, before the death of common sense; a time when people sat on the front porch and actually talked to each other without a cell phone in their ear. Some of his most notable works include an album and a book titled It Could Be A Law, I Don't Know and a video called Grease, Gravy & John Wayne's Momma. His style consists of storytelling and contains no vulgarity.
Tickets for the James Gregory performance range from $25-$35. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets through the box office at 704-799-4220, online at the events website (http://www.ourtownstage.com) or in person at The Charles Mack Citizen Center (215 N Main Street Mooresville,NC).
