This case involved a junior playing JV and then dressing out for a Varsity game the next night. The rule doesn't allow a Junior to be "8-quartered" only sophomores and freshmen are eligible.

Has the NCHSSA changed the rules since 2010? My son played JV on Thursday and dressed out with varsity on Friday night. After JV game on Thursday, Coach got my signature giving permission for him to be "available" in a 2nd game in a week. The rule at the time was, no more than 8 quarters. If 8 quarters were played ***ulative in a season, player was eliminated from JV roster. My son played seconds in a couple quarters but stood on that sideline at the ready should the regular center, for whatever reason, was unable to play. NCHSSA seems to make some rules as they go.

My prediction of the WC & Franklin was closer then anybody. I said 48-6 and it was 51-7.

If that was so then East and North didn't stand a chance because they played JV on Varsity almost every week.

The Dudley case was cause by putting a JV player on the varsity after he played in the JV game in that week. Make it short, can't play in JV & Varsity in same week that includes dressing out.

WC will probably take their jvs and anybody not playing basketball to Franklin. Just being honest their done.

Can't argue that. Just like West Montgomery/Mt. Airy will roll all over Starmount, Murphy/Robbinsville will roll all over Elkin and East Lincoln/Lincolnton will roll all over Ashe. Congrats on being the prettiest turd in the toilet bowl conference!

Wilkes central beat 3 teams (allfrom Wilkes county) with a combined record of 5-28. The only team they beat worth a crap was Alleghany. Franklin will roll ALL over Central 56-19.

Toomuch, WC has only been held under 20 once and that was against Starmount. Starmount was better but them holding Central scoreless after the first TD was a fluke. Don't try to argue that. Franklin would beat any team in this conference handily but WC has the speed to score. Go Eagles!!!

A lot of what happens depends on which Franklin team shows up. If the Franklin squad from this year's regular season shows up they will roll easily. But if the Franklin squad from last year's playoffs that got upset in the first round shows up then Central might have a chance. I doubt it though because I'm willing to bet their coach has prepped them properly.

They have a lot of experience and talent. Central has some talent but they are young. I say Franklin 52 Central 14.

I think it's more to do with playing weaker teams than it is with getting a lot better. Nonetheless the Eagles have improved but i don't see a W Friday night. Too inexperienced and weak. I'll say Franklin 42 Wilkes Central 20.
