What do you get when you let the kids and their parents run the program and hire and fire coaches = Ashe County Basket Ball.

No it's not the first time a tech has hurt Ashe this year but north is one of the most composed teams I've seen in a while ,,,seems like nothing fazes them and they just take care of business and I think that kinda rattled Ashe that the north team didn't bend

Ok Badguy I will attemp to explain in a brief moment and please don't think Iam blaming the refs ,,,,but Ashe had the game almost sealed cause the refs were calling the game like it was an Ashe home game if you get my drift ,,,then a couple of Ashe players got upset with one of the refs and a technical was called on them ,,,so a north player went to the line and hit two free throws to give North a one point lead ,, with 1.7 seconds left ,,,

I'll just be positive......First of all, Wendy....it's funny to me that you are still so disgruntled. Anyway, the boys conference is not weak. If you have a team at the top who is beating everyone by 30....does that make it a strong conference?(the exact opposite it would seem). Very competitive games on the boys side....as well as, several kids who are being recruited by colleges already. Regardless of everyone's opinion about coaches and teams who you may not like.....give the kids credit. These boys work hard and play hard....close games do not make for a weak conference...in fact, exactly the opposite. Just be positive.

yes the league is weak but i will admit some of the nonconference games were good competition

MVAC boys basketball conference is a joke. Weak, weak, weak. I agree with Lady Vikings a lot more the More MVAC girls teams will advance in playoffs. Top 4 teams are really good.

What do I think? This year all levels, North 6 wins and WC 2 wins.
I will take beating WC 75% of the games any day!!!

Look at the girls basketball standings of the top two and compare their overall records. The girls deserve more attention. Much better

I think I've never seen teams in the top of a conference have so many non-conference losses. Not a very strong conference this year.
