How did they end up record wise? Is there a playoff system for Legion ball?

I would like to thank the coaches for their time. A lot of late nights getting home. Our son doesn't go to any Wilkes county school, but was treated as fair as anyone. He made a lot of new friends. I really enjoyed watching the game and looked forward to talking to the friends we made. Thank all of you for making us feel like we were family. I 'am really going to miss the late nights and pleasant conversation. I wish the best of luck to everyone involved. GOD BLESS.

Great game last night. I hate to see it end tonight. These young men have played great together. Good luck to them all!

You people don't know baseball which is the commong problem with sports. Too many moms and dads that think they know what's going on when they don't. There is a reason for everything the coaches do. Many times in summer ball coaches move players around to try them at new positions to see what they can do. Would you rather them try it in school ball when it actually means something to win or lose? If I'm a coach and tell little Bobby to go play short stop when he usually plays first then he better go play short stop because there is a reason I want him here. Kids have to right to claim they play a certain position and you only help your cause more if you are willing to play different positions.

My son said no one was in the positions they were supposed to be in which he said was 1st , 2nd and shortstop tonight

So what happens next?

I am saying errors cost us those runs not always the pitching. But who knows and who cares. Another 10 runs ca be added to that 24 so 34 in 3 games is what the other teams have scored.More parents that come think it is ridiculous much less the kids. I don't know how the kids feel

The young ones are no pitching so what are you saying?

The younger ones usually start the game and then they bigger boys are put in to clean up the mess. Was not the case yesterday but still a joke. call it what you will but it just keeps getting worse. Many upset parents yesterday because of how bad it was. How do you call this a good thing when in 2 games alone they gave up 24 runs??

Waiting on another response from whatNtheWorld. Went to watch the jr legion game this afternoon and before any subs were made, the game was out of hand for the big boys. Might want to put the younger ones in first from what I saw. It appears the JOKE is on you!!!

Keep your opinions to yourself unless you actually think making a substitution in one of these games has cost them a win which I certainly doubt.

Yours truly,

Hateraide

My son is playing and I don't see what the big deal is. He doesn't attend Wilkes Central school and gets to play. I think they had done a great job as a team. Tuesday night I thought they played great against Mt Tabor. If the coach is giving everyone an opportunity to play I think that is called fairness. This is legion ball an opportunity for these boys to play ball and get more practice on the field.

He is only taking care of his rising JV team not the Varsity at all - it seems Johnson has no say in it at all. Senior that plays all the time during conference only plays 2 or 3 innings now before Pruitt puts in an 8th grader. Not right. I would just quit if I was some of those kids

Well Central does coach it, so can't say I blame them. If I'm running it and its on my field, then I'm doing things to help my program. You're lucky they allow kids from other teams to play. Legion teams such as Watauga, schools from the Lincoln, Gaston, Davie, and Stanly county schools usually only let their kids play.

I would say you are accurate.

Legion ball as a whole has been a joke for several years now, it won't exist much longer.

What a joke this has been so far. you would think we was playing tball. Coaches are not playing to win and are making substitutions every 2 or 3 innings. This is not about playing time for my kid because he plays the whole game but why play if you don't play to win. The subs are 8th graders from Central and no other rising freshman from any other school but Central. Seems the coach is trying to make sure his team is preparing for next season instead of wanting to win. these boys are giving up their summer for nothing it seems.
