There is a difference between easy classes and classes that did not exist.....well except on paper and they were A's to keep athletes eligible.

N c state fans mad, because they have sucked for 30+ years. Brag on coach v, his record was 219-114 overall and 71-69 record in acc games. Plus 9 wins and 14 losses to unc. So please tell me were you get state was so great? Plus tell me why you think unc recruits only chose unc for easy classes?

How is my head in the sand? How ever you want to look at it, North Carolina tax dollars are protecting some cloth banners hanging from the rafters in the Smith Center. It is simple....instead of all the junk that UNC has spewed for the last 4 (YES 4 YEARS) UNC needs to produce something to prove otherwise? Surely there is something that can be rebuked with evidence rather than just trying to discredit everyone that has proof behind them? Let that sink in for a moment......

I agree the NCAA has really became a stain......but let's not lead back into the "everyone does it" crap. That might carry some weight with a school that DIDN'T claim the "Carolina Way", "Harvard of the South", "Doing it the right way" BS. Everyone needs to face the fact that UNC has been the biggest systematic CHEATING school in the history of college sports. But......MOST of the truth will be swept right under the rug with the rest of it. BTW I sure hope uncgreatest hasn't jumped of the ledge already.....there is plenty more to come with this. I want them to see it and look forward to the explanation/excuse.

FOLKS..it's all about the money. Education is second hand when it comes to a talented athlete. Somebody spilled the beans because, they didn't get enough of the money that was promised to them.

I think someone mentioned earlier somewhere that McCants is the least of UNC's problems right now.

This is not going away and it will include the baseketball program and it will go back several years.

UNC may not be punished, I don't know, because they are a Blue Blood, but the program is tainted and they are up to their knees in sheet.

I think that the AD now at UNC has a grip on things and is a pretty accountable guy, so I am sure the cooperation with the NCAA is not an issue. However, what concerns me is the NCAA. They are the ones that have to sign off on all these programs and the athletes, like students, can't even be accepted by a school without taking the ACT or the College Board as required by the cartel. Maybe, just maybe, the NCAA should investigate itself along with UNC and see where all of this has gone wrong. However, there is enough smoke in the village of Chapel Hill to keep the NCAA busy right now! You know Duke and Coach K don't receive enough attention for their program. They track the success of their athletes and have devised a program in which BB'ers can graduate in three years and even set things up so athletes who go into the pro's can come back and continue to work towards a degree. I know that the football program is very successful in their grad. rate as well.

It hasn't even gotten close to the meat yet, if everything is looked at by someone that is truly independent. Bill is right Roy should be worried. He may be the next scape goat. I am convinced that this entire scandal goes back at least to Swofford and Dean. Roy will be crucified to protect Dean and the ACC commish.

Sirius XM Radio is reporting that the Professor (in charge of the African Studies program @ UNC) is cooperating with investigators in exchange for charges being dropped against him. This is a three year problem that is not going away, plus the Mary Willingham lawsuit against UNC. More and more keeps becoming public about "paper classes" and "regular classes". Several reporters said that sanctions seem to be down the road for UNC. My father-in-law and brother-in-law, both grads from UNC and athletes there are just sick over this and fed up. I think it would not be out of the question that Coach Williams might lose his job over this. If you think that he is untouchable then does the name Joe Paterno ring a bell. THere is just too much smoke that keeps rising up out of all this.

Charges against N'yrango the AFAM man @ UNC are being dropped do to supposed cooperation in the Wainstein investigation going on now. My understanding is the judge in that case is D*** Baddour"s son, former UNC athletic director . Nothing to see here!!! It is almost comical.
