That's life in the NFL. One of the reasons Dallas had a successful regular season last year is that the injury bug didn't bite too much. They lost Sean Lee before the season but got McClain for a song. Claiborne went down, and no one noticed. Romo missed a game, but came back quickly.

Now, the defense is going to have to step up and help keep them at .500 for the next two months. I think it's possible, if Lee stays healthy, once Gregory, McClain, and Hardy are added to the mix.

Probably not putting much money on the New England or Green Bay games, though...

Beginning to look like Cowboy fans are going to be playing 'whose going down this week' this season. Not my favorite team at all but still hate to see players go down with injuries.

It seems like you're still arguing. I'm not arguing. You've set your standard for non-sucktitude, and I said if that's your standard, fine.

Dan Marino sucks. Warren Moon sucks. Fran Tarkenton sucks. Andrew Luck sucks (so far). Eli Manning is twice the quarterback his no-name brother is...uh, Parker, I think.

I don't have to agree with you. I think Dan Marino was a great quarterback. I have a man-crush on Andrew Luck, I'm sorta ashamed to admit.

But you've set the bar. Now we can move on.

He has never gotten the job done. Blamed his losing on a girlfriend? Chokes in big games. Wow one series to beat the Giants he sure is magnificent.

If that's your only standard, fine. You've set the bar, and Tony Romo fell short. 'Nuff said.

Also, Dan Marino sucks. Trent Dilfer is magnificent. As is Brad Johsnon. Eli Manning is a better quarterback than Peyton Manning. John Elway sucked...until the final two years of his career. Then, he won with a running game. Andrew Luck? Terrible. Don't get me started on Jim Kelly. He's no Jeff Hostetler.

I mean, bottom line, this IS your criteria, correct?

It ain't mine, by the way.

Yes in this instance he was "magnificent" but you judge QB's by the bottom line and the bottom line is he sucks. Where are the SB rings? Championships? That is the bottom line.

Here's how I used magnificent:

"...when given the opportunity to excel and lead his team to yet another come-from-behind victory, Tony Romo was absolutely magnificent..."

So, yeah, that's the final drive, the last 1:16, to be exact...where Romo went 5-6 for 72 yards and a touchdown, picking up a wayward snap on the final play and still finding the receiver at the goal line. Dare I say...magnificent.

Now, tell me all about those lovely reading comprehension programs you no doubt excelled at while a student, EW.

Really? Magnificent? 2 interceptions in a row? What did you do just watch the last 2 minutes?

Yeah, that's exactly what I just did, Captain Hyperbole.

Hang on folks here come the SB predictions after one game

Obviously the Giants had as much to do with that win as anything. HOWEVER, when given the opportunity to excel and lead his team to yet another come-from-behind victory, Tony Romo was absolutely magnificent...and without the services of his best offensive weapon.

He should've been MVP last season. No offense to Aaron Rodgers, who is obviously a spectacular football player himself.

It's a tough slog coming up, however...Dallas needs to stay around .500 until Bryant gets back, and then hopefully make another run at the division.

Well... Well... They pull the first win of the 2015 season out of their behinds by beating the Giants last night 27-26.

Jerry Jones was just named Executive of the Year by the Pro Football Writer's of America. Well deserved, I believe everyone would agree.

Hope you're right, Shorty. Dallas could be really good defensively next year, if McClain resigns, Lee's healthy, they have Lawrence with a year under his belt, and they draft a lineman and a linebacker for depth. And they probably need another corner; I hope they stay young, and don't go after any high priced free agents. Stay young and hungry.

Dez Bryant is a Freak of Nature,, if he would just shut up and play he would be unreal,,,,but im hoping about 42 of them break a leg this weekend.

The defense has been mentioned by several people even the experts but they all seem to forget with Murray and the Dallas offense at full force and working. We control time of possession so our defense isnt on the field. However, granted if a defense was to stop our run game, our Defense would most definetely have to step it up. Much improved over last season and from the first game against the 49ers.

Shorty, December (and the entire year) has been a blast. This season only adds more credence to the idea that Tony Romo is one of the best players in the NFL.

I wish I could say that a championship would end all the negativity that the uneducated throw Romo's way, but it won't. That narrative has already written.

The line, DeMarco, McClain, Tyrone Crawford, Witten, safeties that can play, and, of course, Dez Bryant...there's a lot of reasons to love this season and the future.

I still wonder if Dallas has a championship defense. Especially if Dallas goes up against a Green Bay.

But even if Dallas doesn't win a championship this season, it will almost be worth it (ALMOST) to just see heads explode if Jerry Jones wins Executive of the Year.

Ive been quite all year my friend. hater or not its simple Dallas is a very good contender this season. And you cant look at the history of the playoffs when its a new team each year. Typical haters.
